Vietnam and America

During winter break I traveled with nine other students and professor and Fulbright scholar Mart Stewart to Vietnam to engage in cultural exchange and do independent research on the catfish industry. The following are some of pictures from the escapade that I hope speak to the sights, sounds and tastes we experienced.

New Lens

For an early Christmas present my step-dad lent me, and later gave me, a new fixed 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor lens. Oh boy is it nice to have a fast lens with such flexibility in depth of field! I was playing around with it during finals week while studying with a friend. Here’s just a few shots:
